Gemstone Lighting Questions Answered
Have a question about our permanent LED lighting service? Browse the answers below or call us at (515) 219-7494 — we’ll walk you through exactly what’s included, what it costs, and what to expect on installation day.
How much do Gemstone Lights cost?
The cost depends on the size of your home and the linear footage of roofline being covered. Most residential installations range from $3,000 to $15,000. We provide free in-person estimates so you can see exactly what your investment covers before any work begins. Financing options are available.
How long does installation take?
Most residential Gemstone Lights installations are completed in one day. Larger homes or more complex layouts may take two days. Our crew handles everything from track mounting and wiring to controller setup and app configuration. Your system is fully operational the same day we install it.
Can I really control the lights from my phone?
Yes. Every Gemstone Lights system includes a Wi-Fi-enabled controller and the Gemstone app. You have full control over colors, brightness, patterns, schedules, and pre-built holiday themes. Set your lights to turn on at sunset, change colors automatically for holidays, or create custom scenes for any occasion. Works with Alexa and Google Home.
How do Gemstone Lights handle Iowa winters?
Gemstone Lights are IP68-rated and engineered for extreme conditions. The LED strips and waterproof housings are built to handle heavy snow, freezing temperatures, ice storms, and intense UV exposure in summer. We have installed systems across Des Moines and Ames that perform flawlessly through every Iowa season.
What warranty comes with the system?
Gemstone Lights include a limited lifetime warranty on light bulbs while the rest of the system components have a 10 year product warranty. Innovative Lights Iowa offers a 3 year installation warranty and backs every installation with our own workmanship guarantee. If anything ever needs attention, call us and we will take care of it.
